After the meeting, the PM said that both he and the President shared a common goal – working for the good of Slovenia's citizens, and maintaining Slovenia's reputation on the international political scene. They also agreed on regular meetings and the organisation of activities during Slovenia's Presidency. The new Slovenian President, Dr Danilo Türk, expressed his conviction that the time has come when Slovenia should exhibit, "not only political maturity in its positions, but also coherence and coordinated actions from the country's leadership."
