President of the European Commission expresses condolences to the Prime Minister Janez Janša on the catastrophic storm in Slovenia

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Janez Janša, has received a telegram from the President of the European Commission, José Manuel Barroso, who expressed his condolences on the recent violent thunderstorm that caused the loss of human lives and substantial material damage.

 

Mr Barroso expressed his deep condolences to everyone who lost loved ones in the storm, and extended his sympathy to everyone who has lost their homes or suffered otherwise. "The European Commission is ready to assist with the available funds," the President wrote in his message.
