The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Mr Janez Janša, today held a meeting with the Rector of the University of Maribor, Professor Ivan Rozman.

Mr Janša and Dr Rozman exchanged views on the development of higher education in Slovenia, assessing the importance of establishing new higher education programmes which will enhance Slovenia’s competitiveness on the European scale. Dr Rozman supported the initiative of establishing a Euro-Mediterranean University with a seat in Slovenia since the establishment of a university of this kind would be a good opportunity for all Slovenian universities to raise their profile in the international arena.
