The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Janez Janša, congratulated Lucija Polavder and  Rajmond Debevec on winning bronze medals in judo and shooting respectively, and Primož Kozmus, gold medallist in the hammer throw, on winning the first Slovenian gold medal at the Beijing Olympic Games.

 

In his letters to the Slovenian Olympic medal winners, Prime Minister Janez Janša commended them all on their hard work, efforts, energy and dedication. “We are very proud of you,” wrote the Prime Minister in his congratulations; he wished the athletes every success in their further sporting careers.
