Prime Minister Borut Pahor at the ceremony celebrating 50 years of Murski val radio

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, attended the ceremony this evening celebrating the 50th anniversary of Murski val radio, where he also delivered an address.

In his address, Mr Pahor highlighted the importance of local and regional media in shaping the identity and affiliation of inhabitants in individual local environments. The Prime Minister stressed that people must have the opportunity to express their own opinions and views, as well as hear those of others. The responsibility of the Government here is to create conditions for the media’s operation through legislation and financial mechanisms, concluded Mr Pahor.
