In the Prime Minister's words, this dialogue will remain an intensive discussion until all partners engaged in it reach the conclusion that the economic uncertainty experienced in Slovenia has been overcome. “It is evident from the very structure of the players that we have decided to look for the inevitable compromises if Slovenia wants to use this period of uncertainty and crisis as an opportunity to emerge victorious from it,” stressed Prime Minister Pahor.

It was agreed at today's meeting that the time has come for Slovenia's economy to restructure.  He also added: “The Slovenian economy, primarily the healthy part of it, can fully rely on the Government to do its utmost to provide assistance.” The part of the economic sector experiencing difficulties but following a development philosophy of long-term competitiveness will also receive help.  However, the part of the economic sector which is having problems for a number of reasons but has no development perspective and would not succeed despite state assistance, will not receive help. “Assistance will be provided to those losing their jobs.   We will endeavour to re-train them and offer them a chance to obtain jobs with a higher added value,” assured the Prime Minister.
