Slovenia has a long-standing and widespread tradition of showing solidarity by donating blood, and these donation campaigns are attended by more than 97,000 donors every year. Through the campaigns, more than 42,000 litres of blood are collected annually within the healthcare sector, which helps save the lives of a great many Slovenians.
