Prime Minister takes questions from parliamentary deputies

At the second regular session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia, Prime Minister Borut Pahor for the first time answered questions from deputies; three questions were raised by opposition deputies, one came from the coalition side.

The deputy of the Slovenian Democratic Party (SDS), Mr Jože Tanko, was interested in procedures for government appointments. Mr Zmago Jelinčič Plemeniti, President of the Slovenian National Party (SNS), asked the Prime Minister about the activities of Slovenian institutions concerning Croatia's accession to NATO. The Slovenian People's Party (SLS) deputy, Mr Radovan Žerjav, asked about the Government's measures for combating the global financial and economic crisis. Mr Bojan Kontič, head of the deputy group of Social Democrats (SD), inquired about activities planned within the development dialogue to be held between the Slovenian Government and social partners, as well as other stakeholders from civil society.
