Prime Minister Borut Pahor meets Montenegran President Filip Vujanović

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, today held a meeting with the President of the Republic of Montenegro, Filip Vujanović.

In the talks, Mr Pahor and Mr Vujanovič devoted special attention to economic issues, especially measures to mitigate the negative effects of the economic and financial crisis. They agreed that the already good economic cooperation between the two countries could be further strengthened. Accordingly, Prime Minister Borut Pahor announced that he would visit Montenegro accompanied by a sizeable business delegation and reiterated Slovenia’s support of Montenegro's efforts to forge closer ties with the European Union. Mr Pahor and Mr Vujanović also exchanged views on the further enlargement of the European Union to the Western Balkans.
