Prime Minister Borut Pahor meets representatives of trade unions

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, today met with representatives of trade unions. They exchanged views on the effects of the financial and economic crisis and government measures to combat it. At the meeting, the trade union delegation also presented its measures to combat the crisis.

Prime Minister Pahor emphasised that a balance between solidarity and competitiveness is needed in the creation of measures to combat the crisis. He pointed out in particular that in addressing the crisis, the Government would remain committed to social dialogue and that all anti-crisis measures would be discussed by the social partners. “I am convinced that through social dialogue we will find suitable solutions and combat the crisis."
