In his address, Prime Minister Pahor focused on Slovenia's confrontation with the challenges of the economic and financial crisis.   The Government plans to ease the pressure on the increased general fiscal deficit with the proposed anti-crisis measures and keep employment at the highest possible level by way of an anticyclic-oriented macroeconomic policy. In this context, the Slovenian Prime Minister once again highlighted the importance of social dialogue, which ensures that the measures are non-discriminatory and that their benefits and burdens are equally distributed. In closing, Mr Pahor said that better times are ahead and that Slovenia intends to be among those countries that see opportunity in the crisis.
