Prime Minister takes questions from parliamentary deputies

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, answered questions from deputies at the sixth regular session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia. Three questions were raised by opposition deputies and one by the coalition side.

The Head of the SNS group, Zmago Jelinčič Plemeniti, asked what action, given all the anticipated savings measures, the Government would take to improve the health care system and cut the bureaucracy faced by the health care system, thus providing the best possible health care to citizens.  Deputy Jakob Presečnik from the SLS group asked Prime Minister Pahor about the Government’s measures to mitigate the effects of the economic crisis in the area of agriculture. Deputy Jože Tanko from the SDS group asked why the Government had adopted certain amendments to legislation in the area of justice and what principle it had followed in doing so. Deputy Bojan Kontič from the SD group asked about the anti-crisis measures taken by the Government to overcome the effects of the global crisis in the labour market.
