The Government will respond to the deterioration of public finance with additional economic policy measures, which will have an immediate effect. The measures are aimed at addressing the structural shortcomings of the Slovenian economy and at maintaining the counter-cyclical nature of macroeconomic and fiscal policies. The proposed measures are designed to mitigate the effects of the economic crisis and to regulate areas in which structural differences are present.

The ministers in office adopted a resolution proposal for cooperation of external experts in drawing up regulations and other documents.  In accordance with the proposal, external experts will be invited to cooperate if the production of particular legislative solutions requires the knowledge and competence of experts in various disciplines, if the drawing up of documents requires particular knowledge which civil servants within a competent authority do not have, or if a document cannot be drawn up within the competent authority due to the urgency of the matter, unforeseen tasks or the scope of work.  With this proposal, the Government has specified the manner and form of cooperation between public authorities and external contractors.
