Prime Minister Pahor meets the Speaker of the Canadian Senate

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, held a meeting today with Dr Noël A. Kinsella, the Speaker of the Senate of Canada. The two dignitaries discussed the already excellent relations between Slovenia and Canada, agreeing that this was a basis for further development.

Mr Pahor and Dr Kinsella also touched on the current economic and financial crisis, and exchanged views on possible measures to manage the situation. In this regard, Mr Pahor highlighted development dialogue and social cohesion as the only way to carry out the necessary structural changes. At the close of the meeting, Dr Kinsella commended Slovenia on its successful participation in a number of international organisations.
