Prime Minister’s press conference

At today’s press conference, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, outlined the major decisions adopted at the 28th regular Government session, at which the Government discussed the proposed supplementary budget of the Republic of Slovenia for 2009.

In his introduction, Prime Minister Pahor explained that the discussion was adjourned until the next Government session and that the Ministry of Finance would prepare amendments to the proposed 2009 supplementary budget to be discussed next week within the Economic and Social Council.  Prime Minister Pahor drew attention to the intention of the Government to draw up a balanced supplementary budget that will be focused on saving and investing under adverse economic conditions, and discussed in detail with social partners.
