At this session, Prime Minister Pahor devoted particular attention to the representatives of Slovenians in Hungary, as he will pay an official visit to Hungary on Wednesday to meet his colleague, Prime Minister Gordon Bajnai. The representatives of the Slovenian minority in Hungary submitted a list of current issues facing the Slovenian community in Hungary that Mr Pahor will highlight on his visit there.

The representatives also expressed their satisfaction with the work of the Slovenian Government and the Office of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia for Slovenes Abroad. The discussion focused mainly on cross-border co-operation and obtaining European funds for minority community projects. The representatives of organisations of Slovenians abroad also presented their activities in this field and drew attention to open minority issues. It was generally agreed that co-operation could be further improved, as there are still many opportunities that have not been exploited.
