"I am well aware of the problems of people living on the edge. We have made every effort in this budget not to take money from those who live near the minimum income threshold or below the poverty threshold," stressed Prime Minister Pahor and added that intergenerational solidarity is one of the principles that has been pursued by the Government in drawing up the budgets for 2010 and 2011. In closing, Mr Pahor reiterated the significance of the reforms, in particular the pension and health system reforms and the dialogue related thereto.  "The objective of the reforms is to set up a good, sustainable and fair pension system which will assure a third age without fear and allow us to experience it as a fully creative and fruitful life period. And also as a most enjoyable time of our life," concluded the Prime Minister.
