The members agreed that Slovenia needs structural adjustments, endorsing the plans to make these adjustments in four key areas:  management of public institutions; promotion of entrepreneurship, competitiveness and transparency of the labour market; energy and transport infrastructure (adjustments for effective environmental and climate policy); and the social security and healthcare systems. They stressed that, in order to successfully implement such adjustments, a very broad social consensus should be reached, especially during the present economic crisis. They also shared the view that constructive social dialogue between partners is vital to the success of the planned measures.

Representatives of companies highlighted adjustments to the social security system and healthcare system as the most strategic ones. In this regard, Prime Minister Pahor highlighted the urgent need to achieve a development balance between solidarity and competitiveness or effectiveness.
