Prime Minister Pahor attends ceremony at Institute of Oncology

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, in the presence of the Minister of Health, Borut Miklavčič, and the management of the Institute of Oncology, today attended a ceremony held on the occasion of the takeover of the new accelerator for the Therapy Sector at the Institute of Oncology in Ljubljana.

In his brief address, the Prime Minister pointed out that "healthcare is undoubtedly the most important priority task of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia".  The Prime Minister then praised the dedication, professionalism and resolve of the healthcare staff at the Institute of Oncology, who focus their attention on the health of people and who will surely perform their mission with the new equipment at an even higher level of quality. At the end of his address, the Prime Minister stressed the significance of the new radiation equipment as a modality for treating patients with cancer and wished all present happy Christmas and New Year’s holidays.
