Prime Minister Pahor attends New Year reception for diplomatic corps

The Slovenian Prime Minister, Borut Pahor, and the Slovenian President, Dr Danilo Türk, today hosted the traditional New Year reception for the diplomatic corps at Brdo pri Kranju.

The speaker at the ceremony was the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr Danilo Türk, who in his address emphasised the need for fresh diplomatic efforts, and particularly highlighted necessary reforms of the financial system and the issue of climate change. This year's diplomatic reception was primarily intended to emphasise a new impetus in diplomatic activities and economic diplomacy.
