Prime Minister Pahor attends opening of new office building of NLB branch office Trieste

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia Borut Pahor today attended the opening of the new office building of the branch office of Nova Ljubljanska Banka (NLB) in Trieste. In his opening address, Prime Minister Pahor pointed out that this event is the result of the commitment of the Slovenian financial market and the Slovenian corporate sector to jointly make a breakthrough and as investors, establish their presence in as many markets as possible. On the other hand, Slovenia remains fully open to foreign investors.

     

In his address, the Slovenian Prime Minister, who opened the new headquarters of the NLB Trieste branch office together with the President of the Board of NLB, Božo Jašovič, and the Director of the branch office, Andrej Bratož, emphasized the importance of such cooperation.  "Slovenia will make every effort to consolidate friendship and mutual respect and to increase prosperity of people through joint initiatives."  In this respect, he expressed his hope for an early accession of Croatia and other countries of this region to the European Union, a perspective, which Mr Pahor considers as an opportunity.  In the close of his address, the Slovenian Prime Minister stressed that Slovenia can be truly successful only as part of the European future, while describing the breakthrough in the Italian market as only one element of this future.
