In his statement to the press following the ruling, Mr Pahor expressed great satisfaction with the opinion delivered by the Constitutional Court which ruled that the Arbitration Agreement was in line with the Slovenian Constitution. While describing the bilateral act as extremely important, he, moreover, particularly highlighted the Court's view that "the Agreement does not seek to define the border, but rather the method of the final determination of the borderline in a peaceful manner". At the close of his statement, Prime Minister Pahor also said that the Government had acted wisely by referring the question on the compliance of the Arbitration Agreement with Slovenia's Constitution to the Constitutional Court, since immediately after its signing questions arose in the political and expert circles and within the public at large as to its constitutionality. "Today we know that it does comply with our Constitution", concluded Mr Pahor.
