Prime Minister attends opening of "Kogoj-Fabijanić" exhibition in Zagreb

The Slovenian Prime Minister Borut Pahor and his Croatian counterpart Jadranka Kosor, as patrons of honour, today in Zagreb opened the exhibition of the Slovenian designer Oskar Kogoj and the Croatian architect Nenad Fabijanić and also addressed the guests assembled for this event.

In his address, Prime Minister Pahor emphasised that both artists represent ambitiousness, perfection and creativity of the two nations in art. "They represent our ambition that both, as individuals and as two nations, we demonstrate all our artistic curiosity and pride. Both artists know very well why they have decided to entitle the exhibition "The Quest for Aesthetic Utopia". My experience from private and political life however tells me that neither the world of beauty nor the world of good can exist without positive utopias and without people who live them and believe in them".
         
The Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor said that she was pleased to share the honour with the Slovenian Prime Minister of assuming patronage of an exquisite exhibition of such great artists and friends.  Moreover, she expressed her wish that the exhibition, to be displayed also in Slovenia, would be a story about friendship, understanding, creativity and art, but also a message that only together, can we build a solid European future.
        
The informal meeting of both prime ministers held on this occasion also means the continuation of a dialogue, which will additionally contribute to the strengthening of bilateral and multilateral cooperation and friendly ties between the two countries in all areas.
         
Today's opening ceremony with a short cultural programme and a reception was attended by more than 600 guests from Croatia and Slovenia, including the President of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Milan Moguš, the Croatian Minister of Culture, Božo Biškupić, and several other representatives from the sphere of culture and arts.
