Prime Minister Pahor meets representatives of trade unions and employers

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, met with representatives of trade unions and employers today; at the press conference after the meeting, Prime Minister Pahor drew attention to bilateral talks held one month ago between the Government of the Republic of Slovenia and trade unions, where trade unions proposed that an attempt should be made to reach an agreement about the pension reform at the Economic and Social Council summit, with a view to gaining wide political support or even consent of all social partners: "The Government accepted the proposal, postponed the adoption of pension legislation and started to talk to both partners. In this period, we have established that despite considerable disagreements there is still a possibility to build prudent and solid bridges between all stakeholders."
