Prime Minister Pahor receives the Holy See's Secretary of State

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, today received the Secretary of State of the Holy See, Tarcisio Bertone; the two sides exchanged views and opinions on opportunities to deepen bilateral and multilateral cooperation.

According to Prime Minister Pahor, the question of the seat of the Apostolic Nunciature in Slovenia has been settled, as the court issued its final ruling in this case on 2 June this year. "The question of the Apostolic Nunciature seat in Ljubljana has been solved after almost ten years. Former Prime Ministers and I personally, we have all endeavoured for ten years to solve this issue and the fact that the happy ending of this story coincides with the State Secretary's visit to Ljubljana may perhaps be attributed to mere chance or something else," said Prime Minister Pahor. The two counterparts also talked about a military ordinary's office in Slovenia, the arbitration agreement and new Slovenian Ambassador to the Holy See.
