Prime Minister Pahor attends the 1st consultation of Slovenia’s Honorary Consuls abroad

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, today at Brdo pri Kranju, attended the first consultation of Honorary Consuls of the Republic of Slovenia, where the consuls have been acquainted with the new orientation of the Slovenian diplomacy – assistance to the economic sector. In his address, Prime Minister Pahor announced the strengthening of ties with Germany in economic reforms aimed at overcoming the crisis.

     

He also acquainted the Honorary Consuls with the redirection of diplomacy to fighting the crisis and achieving prosperity. In his words, the crisis exposed excessive vulnerability of the Slovenian economy, which could be avoided in future with increased diversification of markets. As regards further development of Slovenia and its economy, Prime Minister Pahor said that the country would strengthen ties with Germany. He explained that a cooperation agreement with Germany was being prepared, since both countries have a similar business and cultural mentality, while Germany is also taking "good steps to stay in shape, together with the entire EU."
