Prime Minister Pahor on a visit to the business community of the Zasavje

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, accompanied by the Minister of the Environment and Spatial Planning, Roko Žarnić, and the candidate minister of the Economy, Darja Radić, today visited Termoelektrarna Trbovlje, Rudnik Trbovlje Hrastnik, Steklarna Hrastnik and ETI Elektroelement Izlake, where he met with the managements of these companies and acquainted himself with their development plans. The meeting was also attended by the mayors of the municipalities of the region, the National Council members and some other stakeholders of local development.

   

In the statement for the media following the meetings, the Prime Minister expressed his satisfaction with the achieved results, and added that the participants reached an agreement on particular tasks, objectives and development plans. The Prime Minister was also pleased with the fact that all the visited companies weathered the crisis well and had all appropriate long-term plans in place as well as a vision for the future. “In the following weeks, I will also meet with the three mayors of the Zasavje region municipalities, the representatives of the Lafarge company, of the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning and of the environmental society,” announced the Prime Minister by adding that the topics of the meeting will include ecological and environmental issues.
