Prime Minister Pahor attends presentation of project "bread made from wheat grown in Slovenia and produced by integrated methods"

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, accompanied by the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Food, Dejan Židan, today attended the presentation of the project "Bread made from wheat grown in Slovenia and produced by integrated methods”, and addressed the participants assembled for this occasion.

Prime Minister Pahor said that he was thinking in particular about two important strategic issues directly linked to agriculture. The first issue is food safety provided to Slovenia's inhabitants, while the second issue is "food sufficiency or, to a certain extent, self-sufficiency of Slovenia". Both are to be considered ambitiously and within a realistic framework," stressed the Slovenian Prime Minister. In respect of the project of making bread from wheat grown in Slovenia and produced by integrated methods, Prime Minister Pahor said that the success of such projects also depends on the price-quality ratio. "If the ratio between price and quality will be appropriate, people will buy such bread and we, too, will be satisfied since it will be a domestic product."
