Mura is in bankruptcy, but is the owner of the company; Prime Minister Pahor said that the Government would like to see a solution that would ensure a successful ownership of Mura. "The owner should have serious intent with Mura trade name with a view to bringing Mura back to the high-quality textile market in Europe and the world," stressed Prime Minister Pahor. The Government's main concern is to enable Mura to assume the position enabling Pomurje to again pride with a top trade name. The Director of Mura in partnerji, Bojan Starman, expressed the same goal when he said "we would like to have a neutral owner interested in keeping production and employment in this location." Prime Minister Pahor today met the President of the Board of Prevent Global, Renato Krajnc. The meeting was also attended by the Minister of the Economy, Darja Radić, and the State Secretary at the Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Affairs, Anja Kopač Mrak. Mr Krajnc acquainted Prime Minister and other participants with activities to secure business deals in the last days which have not been successful and also informed them about the Board's intention to initiate the bankruptcy proceedings at the beginning of the coming week. Prime Minister Pahor voiced his concern over the developments to date and suggested to Krajnc to make another effort to work out a different solution before initiating procedures.

After the meeting, Prime Minister Pahor, Minister Radić, State Secretary Kopač Mrak and Director Krajnc gave brief statements to the press; Prime Minister informed the public that in the following 48 hours attempts would be made to establish whether it was possible to secure a business deal that would ensure the company's survival. "Together with the Minister of the Economy, Darja Radić, we will attempt to establish in the next 48 hours whether it is possible to secure a business deal that will ensure production and profit to the company in the interim period and enable its further operations," said Prime Minister Pahor and added that Prevent plays far too important a role in the Koroška region to miss an opportunity to find a solution if one exists. "We will make every effort in direct talks with potential business partners to encourage their investments in the company which would enable its operation," concluded the Prime Minister.
