On this occasion, Prime Minister Pahor congratulated the management of the company for new acquisition, which is good news not only for Steklarna Rogaška, but also for the entire region and Slovenia. He recalled the past year when he was informed that the company was experiencing difficulties and that’s why, today, he is particularly happy that the introduced systemic and intervention measures have already brought positive results. Under a guarantee scheme, Steklarna Rogaška received a loan which was used for financial restructuring and investment in the amount of 2.5 million EUR, which increased its production facilities. Prime Minister Pahor commended the efforts of the management for not only retaining existing jobs but also creating new ones, since they knew how to appreciate the knowledge and experience of glass masters from the region.

“My visit today is a joyful one and it was my intention to stress that Slovenia is already on its path to recovery; with a new furnace, the company has proved that appropriate solutions can always be found for a brighter future,” he highlighted and continued by saying that Steklarna Rogaška has successfully combined people’s work, technological development and innovativeness and, thus, represents the winning combination allowing Steklarna Rogaška to operate so successfully despite present crisis and to continue to export top quality glass products to the demanding markets of Europe, USA and Asia. “An important message conveyed in times of crisis is that the trust between the owners, management and employees be big enough for the changes necessary to adapt to the market," stressed Prime Minister Pahor adding that a common language between the management and the unions is one of the basic rules which facilitates successful restructuring of an enterprise.
