Prime Minister takes questions from parliamentary deputies

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, answered questions from deputies at the 20th regular session of the Slovenian National Assembly. Three questions were raised by opposition deputies and one came from the coalition side.

The first question to the Prime Minister was raised by SLS Deputy Franc Bogovič and referred to system reforms and government measures. Mr Bogovič wanted to know whether Mr Pahor would invite the opposition and the interested public to the dialogue relating to the aforementioned reforms. SNS Deputy Bogdan Barovič put forward a question to the Prime Minister referring to the foreign policy field. He was interested to know why a Slovenian diplomat had not been listed among the 29 high level appointees in the European diplomatic service and what Slovenia would do if no Slovenian diplomat is involved in the implementation of the EU foreign policy. During the session, SDS Deputy Zvone Černač asked the Prime Minister whether he believed that the Slovenia’s economy may recover from the crisis by means of foreign investments and business operations abroad – regardless of the source of money. The fourth question was raised by Desus Deputy Joško Godec regarding the perspective of pension adjustment in the future.
