The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, fielded questions from parliamentary deputies at the 28th regular session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia. The questions to the Prime Minister were posed by three opposition MPs: Zmago Jelinčič from the Slovene National Party (SNS), Radovan Žerjav from the Slovenian People's Party (SLS) and Jože Tanko from the Slovenian Democratic Party (SDS), who was the first to pose a question to the Prime Minister.

In connection with the special intervention Act, the parliamentary deputy, Jože Tanko, asked Mr Pahor how the Government plans to adopt it and implement severe cost-cutting measures in the event that a 'no' vote is registered in the referendum held on the Pension and Disability Insurance Act. The second question was posed by the parliamentary deputy, Radovan Žerjav, from the Slovenian People's Party (SLS) in connection with the administrative procedure situation at the Environmental Agency of the Republic of Slovenia (ARSO), who asked what the Government plans to do (also with regard to the pending applications that fall within the competency of the ARSO) to prevent the state apparatus from additionally hindering Slovenia's economic development and what, in the Prime Minister's opinion, is the responsibility of the management personnel of the institutions, who, according to Mr Žerjav, are not managing to perform their work in compliance with the law. The third and final question was asked by the parliamentary deputy, Zmago Jelinčič, who is interested in the status of the Slovene minority in Austria, namely when and how the Government of the Republic of Slovenia plans to take care of Slovenes in Austrian Carinthia and appropriately arrange for their status and related rights.
