Prime Minister Pahor's congratulations on the occasion of the Day of Restoration of the Primorska Region to the Motherland

On the occasion of the Day of Restoration of the Primorska Region to the Motherland, the prime minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, congratulated all the inhabitants of the Primorska region and all Slovenians. This day is a holiday of freedom and a milestone in the history of the Slovene nation, reminding us of 15 September 1947, when a considerable part of the Slovene national territory was restituted to the original homeland.

   

The Slovene nation has consistently proven that it can recognise the harbingers of historical change and turn the sails of national interest in the right direction at the right time. Throughout the centuries, this intuition has kept us together as a community; it should also therefore serve today as a source of inspiration, at a time when we are, together with many other nations and countries, being put to the test again.
