Prime Minister Pahor offers his condolences on the death of Tone Pavček

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, this morning sent a telegram of condolence to the family of the late Tone Pavček, expressing on his own behalf and on behalf of the Republic of Slovenia his profound and sincere condolences for this irreplaceable loss.

Prime Minister Pahor noted that Tone Pavček’s legacy is a vast opus of his works, which will also continue to live with future generations, inspire them with positive energy and 'chase away the shadows', as Tone Pavček wrote in one of his poems. He stressed that his contribution at Congress Square on 8 May 1989, when Tone Pavček firmly read the May Declaration and demanded Slovenia's sovereignty on behalf of us all, will never be forgotten.
