In his statement to the press after the tenth Slovenian Government took its oath of office, the Slovenian Prime Minister, Janez Janša, said:  "Today, the tenth Slovenian Government was confirmed by the National Assembly. The number ten is an anniversary figure.  However, the term of office faced by this Government will be anything but a reason to celebrate this jubilee – it will be a difficult term. The team standing behind me is well aware of the situation. At the beginning of their presentation, I congratulated everyone for accepting the candidacy. We know that we won't have it easy, but we also know why we've accepted this challenge and what we'll be working towards."

Janša went on to say that Slovenia is faced not only with an economic crisis, but also a social crisis, with the political crisis ending today and the main challenge of this Government being to bring Slovenia out of the current crisis. 'This is, in fact, an anti-crisis Government, an anti-crisis team. We are aware of that. Certain issues which would in other, more normal times perhaps have been at the top of the agenda will just have to wait, although we will make every effort to ensure that nothing is left forgotten." After his statement, Prime Minister Janša took several questions from the press.
