Slovenian Prime Minister on a working visit to the Italian Republic

On Tuesday, 12 June 2012, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Janez Janša, is to pay a working visit to the Italian Republic. He will be accompanied by the Minister of Finance, Janez Šušteršič. The Prime Minister and the Minister of Finance will meet with the Prime Minister of the Italian Republic, Mario Monti, who is also responsible for the Ministry of Economy and Finance. 

 

The purpose of the working visit is to exchange views on current European topics concerning, in particular, the stability of the euro and the exchange of experiences related to adopting and enforcing measures aimed at achieving fiscal balance, and creating the conditions necessary for economic growth. This is the Slovenian Prime Minister's second bilateral visit to Italy, testament to the continued friendly and good neighbourly relations and political dialogue between the two countries. Its aim is to enhance economic cooperation and the exchange of views with regard to the future perspectives for bilateral and multilateral cooperation in various fields. In addition to the aforementioned European themes, the discussion will also focus on the most important bilateral issues, including the position of the Slovenian minority in Italy. 

 

The talks will also touch on other possible current issues with which the European Union and the international community are faced.
