The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Janez Janša, today sent a letter of condolence to the family of the late stage and film actor Polde Bibič, in which he – on his behalf and on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia – expressed his profound sympathies over the irreplaceable loss.

In his letter, the Prime Minister remembered Polde Bibič as an extraordinary stage and film actor, pedagogue and writer, who left a strong imprint on and enriched the Slovenian artistic creation. With his subtle and convincing interpretation of countless characters in film and on stage he has gone down in the history of the Slovenian film and theatre and remained in the hearths of many a Slovenian.

“Polde Bibič has made an indelible mark on the Slovenian film and theatre and has enriched the Slovenian cultural heritage with a treasure for the future generations to draw from" wrote Janez Janša.
