The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Janez Janša, congratulates Igor Samobor, the winner of the Borštnik Ring Award

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Janez Janša, today congratulated the Slovenian stage and film actor Igor Samobor, who received Slovenia's highest award for lifetime achievement in acting, the Borštnik Ring, in Maribor on Friday.  In his congratulatory message, the Prime Minister wrote, among other things, that the received award proves that many characters interpreted by Slovenian actor Igor Samobor in his long-standing stage and film career have made a strong impression on the entire theatre and film audience and occupied an important place in Slovenian performing arts and therefore also in Slovenian cultural history in general. Prime Minister Janša expressed his hope that Igor Samobor’s creativity would continue to echo from the Slovenian theatre stages where – also thanks to him – performing arts in Slovenia have always reached an enviably high level.
