Prime Minister Janez Janša writes to the Japanese Prime Minister on the anniversary of the tragic events in Japan

The Slovenian Prime Minister, Janez Janša, has received many letters of congratulation from Slovenia and abroad on his appointment, including a message from the Prime Minister of Japan, Yoshihiko Noda. The Japanese Prime Minister pointed out in his letter that Slovenia and Japan were celebrating the 20th anniversary since diplomatic relations were established between them and that he looked forward to further strengthening the friendly relations that exist between the two countries.


Prime Minister Janez Janša thanked the Japanese Prime Minister for his greetings and good wishes. In his letter to the Japanese Prime Minister on the occasion of the forthcoming anniversary of the earthquake, the Slovenian Prime Minister wrote that it is with sadness that he remembers the tragic events that affected Japan a year ago. He expressed his respect for the efforts made by the Japanese people and the Japanese authorities to rebuild the community and the many lives affected by the disaster.


In his letter, the Slovenian Prime Minister expressed his solidarity with the Japanese authorities and the families of the deceased. He also stressed that it is only a matter of time before Japan, a country with a rich and varied tradition, recovered and flourished once again.
