"Two years ago, when the "Let's Clean Slovenia" clean-up campaign was carried out for the first time, we supported the efforts of the organisers.  These efforts should also be supported today, because the organisers show appropriate concern for environmental protection through the organisation and coordination of the project.

Moreover, they contribute to raising awareness that we can improve our attitude towards the environment if we set and follow certain values and actions, establish and maintain an environmentally friendly economy and technologies, and manage the use of land resources appropriately.  When speaking about environmental protection, we should also take proper waste management into consideration. In this respect it should be highlighted that we must pool our efforts to develop an attitude towards the environment based, in particular, on the principles of prevention.

Last but not least, it should be pointed out that the "Let's Clean Slovenia" campaign and many other similar, but less publicised municipal clean-up campaigns, are a step forward in our endeavours to ensure a high level of environmental protection and improve the quality of the environment."
