Prime Minister Janez Janša receives Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia (the Sobranie)

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Janez Janša, today held a meeting with the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia (the Sobranie), Trajko Veljanovski, and a delegation of members of the Sobranie.

   

The partners in dialogue evaluated the development of bilateral relationships between the two countries as positive. The Speaker of the Sobranie, Trajko Veljanovski, expressed his gratitude for the support offered by the Republic of Slovenia to the Republic of Macedonia in its process of accession to the EU and NATO. They exchanged views on the economic and financial situation in Europe and the rest of the world, which is currently at the centre of discussions in the international community. They also discussed mutual economic cooperation and, with a view to overcoming the present crisis, agreed that there are good prospects to strengthen this further.
