Prime Minister Janez Janša congratulates Anže Kopitar on his historic on-ice success

The Slovenian Prime Minister, Janez Janša, today congratulated the Slovenian hockey player Anže Kopitar on winning the Stanley Cup with his team in the National Hockey League (NHL).  

 

In his congratulatory message, the Slovenian Prime Minister wrote that persistence, courage and modesty are the qualities he believes have brought the Slovenian hockey player his great success. He emphasised that this very triumph has also significantly contributed to Slovenia's greater visibility in the world, and that Kopitar's sporting career can set an example to other young athletes who strive for outstanding results at home and abroad.
