Prime Minister Janez Janša meets Prime Minister of Kosovo

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Janez Janša, had a meeting today with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, who is paying a working visit to Slovenia.

 

The Prime Ministers assessed the relations between the two countries as being good and they also discussed opportunities for strengthening economic cooperation. Kosovo's Prime Minister presented the social situation and encouraging economic indicators in Kosovo and favourably assessed the strong presence of Slovenian investments in the country. The Prime Ministers agreed that mutual cooperation would be enhanced by a prompt conclusion and subsequent implementation of tax and investment agreements between the two countries.   

 

Kosovo's Prime Minister thanked Slovenia for supporting Kosovo in its integration into the international community. Prime Minister Janša encouraged the continuation of constructive dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina and expressed his conviction that the two countries should build on solutions based primarily on the requirements and interests of local people.

 

Kosovo's Prime Minister is attending the Bled Strategic Forum, on the margins of which he will also hold other bilateral meetings.
