Prime Minister Janez Janša congratulates the inhabitants of the Primorska region on the occasion of the Day of Restoration of the Primorska Region to the Motherland

On 24 May 2005 the Government of the Republic of Slovenia proposed to the National Assembly the adoption of the Act Amending the Holidays and Days off in the Republic of Slovenia Act on the basis of which 15 September was declared the Day of Restoration of the Primorska Region to the Motherland.

 

 

Dear inhabitants of the Primorska region!

In its historical development, led by the call to freedom, the Primorska region entered the new era with its proud head upright and finally found its true face.  The values and determination developed through difficult trials of history are still very close to us and can also today serve as an inspiration.

All the inhabitants of the Primorska region, I would like to congratulate you on the day that belongs to all of us!
