Prime Minister Janez Janša: "We can not go beyond the scope of the Arbitration Agreement"

“It is the task of our professionals and politicians to consolidate their views to the extent that is possible under the Memorandum. Having in mind that one cannot go beyond the provisions of the Arbitration Agreement that was adopted by Slovenian voters in a referendum," said Prime Minister Janša on the margins of the meeting of the Committee on Foreign Policy of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia.

The Prime Minister added that "the discussion in the parliamentary committee was useful. There was also awareness of the restrictions imposed by the Arbitration Agreement." The Committee on Foreign Policy of the National Assembly today discussed in private the information on preparations for defence of the Republic of Slovenia before the Arbitral Tribunal.
