The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Alenka Bratušek, today in late afternoon attended the second session of the Development Council on the long-term competitiveness of the Slovenian industry and the ongoing activities related to the bad bank. Members of the Council have made a number of proposals to seek the promoters of development projects among large enterprises and proposals relating to small and medium-sized enterprises which it would be reasonable to support on the basis of appropriate criteria. The Prime Minister will also consider and take a stance on several specific proposals that have been put forward in the field of banking. In this regard, she stressed that the recovery of banks should also involve the recovery of banks’ ability to serve the economy.
