Prime Minister receives Montenegrin Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration

The Slovenian Prime Minister, Alenka Bratušek, today received the Montenegrin Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Igor Lukšić. They confirmed that relations between the two countries are good, particularly in economic cooperation. During the talks, Ms Bratušek expressed her satisfaction with the increase in the overall trade in goods by 13 %, which opens the door to new business opportunities and even better cooperation between Slovenia and Montenegro.

 

Ms Bratušek and Mr Lukšić also exchanged their views on the integration of Montenegro into Euro-Atlantic structures. Ms Bratušek said that Slovenia greatly supports Montenegro on its way to EU membership and will continue to provide assistance, including the participation of expert groups.
