Prime Minister attends the opening of the FIFPro Congress

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Alenka Bratušek, today attended the opening of the congress of FIFPro, a worldwide representative organization for professional football players. In her address, she welcomed the congress participants from all over the world to Slovenia, and wished them every success in their work.  She stressed that she had great respect for the work of FIFPro, which represents national players’ associations and promotes the interests of professional footballers from over 50 countries. "Playing football and sport in general has many benefits for health and the development of social skills," concluded the Prime Minister, expressing her wish that increasingly more people would take part in sport.
