Prime Ministers Bratušek and Bettel about possibilities to strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Alenka Bratušek, hosted the Prime Minister of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Xavier Bettel, on a working visit to Slovenia. The two Prime Ministers agreed that the relations between the two countries were excellent and paid special attention to the possibilities of strengthening economic cooperation, also in the light of Slovenia’s privatisation process.  In their talks, they touched upon the issues of the future European Council meeting relating to the fight against climate change and the current situation in Ukraine.

 

Prime Minister Alenka Bratušek briefed Prime Minister Xavier Bettel of the efforts that the Slovenian Government invested in the past year, mentioning that there was still a lot of work to be done by her team in the coming two years. Prime Minister Xavier Bettel congratulated Prime Minister Alenka Bratušek on the measures taken and ambitious projects to boost economy and highlighted that certain Government measures were indispensable to achieve long-term objectives although today they may not be well-received by the people. Prime Minister Xavier Bettel invited Prime Minister Alenka Bratušek to pay a return visit to Luxembourg, accompanied by the economic delegation.
