Prime Minister attends the Bled Film Festival

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Alenka Bratušek, attended a round-table discussion which took place within the Bled Film Festival. In addition to the Prime Minister, the round-table discussion was also attended by Rade Šerbedžija, chairman of the Bled Film Festival Committee, Janez Potočnik, European Commissioner for the Environment and Lučka Kajfež Bogataj, climatologist.

 

The Prime Minister emphasised that the fact that the round-table discussion took place in the direct vicinity of Lake Bled had a strong symbolic value. She said that this was one of the most beautiful places in the world and that it was necessary to invest a great deal of efforts, so that future generations will be able to enjoy this stunning part of the country.   "I do not know how it is with you, but I myself am convinced that we must make every effort to protect our environment, so that our children and all future generations will be able to enjoy clean water and air," the Prime Minister underlined.
